A personal update.

Hello guys,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to reach out and address the recent quiet period on my Substack. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been dealing with some serious personal issues that have unfortunately taken me away from my usual schedule of sharing recipes and blogs with you.
First and foremost, I want to apologise for the inconsistency and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience and understanding these past few weeks. Your support means more to me than you think and it’s been a source of comfort and motivation.
In facing these challenges, I found myself slipping from the self-care and healthy routines that I advocate and cherish so much. But now, I am committed to getting back on track. I’m renewing my focus on nourishing my body and mind, restarting my training program, and embracing the 80/20 lifestyle that balances high-protein whole foods with the occasional treat and a glass of wine.
For those who may not be familiar, the 80/20 lifestyle is all about balance. It means focusing 80% of our efforts on eating wholesome, nutritious foods and maintaining healthy habits, while allowing ourselves to enjoy the remaining 20% without guilt. This approach is crucial because life is meant to be enjoyed, and indulgences are a part of that joy. Whether it’s a delicious dessert, a glass of wine, or a favourite comfort food, these treats are important for our mental and emotional well-being.
Living the 80/20 way is about sustainability. It recognises that perfection is unattainable and that striving for it can often lead to burnout or frustration. By giving ourselves the grace to enjoy life's pleasures, we can maintain a healthy lifestyle long-term without feeling deprived. This balance is essential for living our happiest and healthiest lives. After all, a lifestyle that’s too restrictive is unlikely to be sustainable, and health isn’t just about the body but also about the mind and soul.
To make up for the recent shortfall, I am excited to promise you double the amount of content over the coming weeks. Here’s what you can expect:
Twice the Recipes: Look forward to an array of new Mediterranean-inspired dishes, from hearty mains to refreshing salads and heart warming breakfasts. I’ve been experimenting with some new flavours and can’t wait to share these creations with you.
In-Depth Blogs: I’ll be diving deeper into topics around nutrition and the Mediterranean lifestyle. Expect more insights on how to maintain a balanced diet, tips for integrating healthy habits into your daily routine, and personal anecdotes from my journey.
